My door is shut, your door is shut, their door across the hall is shut, but what does that mean?

I’m working please don’t bother me now.

Well, how would anyone else know that. It is your home and not your office, or so it was not, until 6 months ago.

If you do live with some person from ‘before’ and many of us now are living and working with multiples within our households, all day and all night, you must help them out. Do not be annoyed at them because they thought you might want a refreshed coffee or don’t want to be disturbed to hear about a great Netflix series which is about to start and you have been waiting all summer for this.

As creatives and creatives who need a break too, signage…. that’s what we do. Let the pictures convey all the words you want and pin it on your real not digital door, for all to see. Have fun. Use it as an exercise to stretch those creative muscles. You probably have been inundated with documents and emails and you pine for just a moment of creative release. Go into Illustrator or Photoshop and have fun. Problem solved.

Remember though, it still has to work, your audience it not you but anyone who would come to your door, not your creative co-worker, or your art director, it just might be your little brother, that’s your audience.
