the cookie does not crumble

What can I learn from a cookie - the importance of a GRID and a DUOTONE palette.

The next time you eat one of your favorite treats, see what it inspires you to think about ….

For me it was the grid, the cookie seemed to taste even better because it had logic and organization. This did not deter from the delectable flavour nor how it offered texture and interest as a morsel to satisfy.

As well, the 2 colors chocolate and vanilla, offered contrast and character, yup, organization (got that from the grid) too. Here the cookie challenged me to munch on smaller bites seeing if I could only take a single colored portion at a time, allowing the cookie to last even longer. This is a duotone designed cookie. Did the baker of this delight consider the visual attraction capabilities of these 2 contrasting colors? Did they understand that it would entice me, the buyer? I hope they did, because it worked! Notice how simply the appetizing message is conveyed utilizing opposite colours, and only 2 at that.

yum, yum, yum.

As you design, help yourself by being constantly observant and it will become second nature. This will continuously fill your reservoir of concepts and inspirations, even possibly your tummy.
